Intim8 VR is an intimate-health laser platform designed to deliver controlled energy to vaginal tissue. The aim is to prompt a tissue-remodelling response. Some people explore this type of treatment when dealing with changes in intimate comfort or tissue quality, often after childbirth or around menopause.
Symptoms such as dryness, pain, urinary leakage or repeated infections can have different causes. A medical consultation comes first so we can discuss the cause, established treatments and whether a laser procedure has a role in your individual plan. Benefits cannot be guaranteed.
We discuss your symptoms and medical history first. If a laser procedure is appropriate, we explain the technique, expected sensations, possible benefits, uncertainties, aftercare and alternatives before you decide.
Personalised assessment: We review symptoms, medical history, previous care and whether examination or tests would help. You decide whether to proceed with any suggested examination.

Urgency, leakage or recurrent infections may need urine testing, pelvic floor assessment or specialist review.
We discuss recovery, pelvic floor symptoms, pain and referral options as appropriate.
Persistent irritation, bleeding or skin change should be examined rather than assumed to be a laser indication.
02 / Your plan
Care may include advice, treatment for an underlying condition, pelvic floor support or referral.
Only if clinically useful and with your consent. The reason and alternatives are explained first.
Yes. Options depend on the diagnosis and may include lubricants, moisturisers, vaginal oestrogen, pelvic floor physiotherapy or other medical care.
03 / Treatment & downtime
We explain the proposed procedure and aftercare in full if a laser treatment is appropriate for you.
Tell us about your symptoms, medicines and previous treatment. We assess for causes that need another approach or further investigation.
The clinician explains any examination and, if treatment is agreed, how the vaginal laser applicator is used. You can pause or stop at any time.
You receive an individual plan and written advice. Any procedure-specific downtime, activity restrictions and follow-up are explained before treatment.
Unexplained bleeding, significant pain or infection symptoms need clinical assessment promptly.
Helpful answers
It delivers controlled laser energy to vaginal tissue with the aim of stimulating a local tissue response and remodelling. Whether this might help a particular symptom is assessed individually; a device description is not a promise of improvement.
Vaginal dryness, discomfort with intimacy, changes after childbirth, urinary symptoms and recurrent irritation can all be discussed. These symptoms need an assessment because the most suitable care depends on their cause.
If treatment is appropriate and you choose to proceed, a clinician explains the use of a vaginal laser applicator, the sensations to expect and how you can ask to stop. The exact protocol and consent are discussed at the appointment.
Comfort varies. Some patients may feel warmth or mild discomfort. We explain the procedure and comfort measures in advance and want you to tell us if you feel pain.
There is no course that is right for everyone. Any suggested number and spacing of sessions depends on the reason for treatment, the device protocol and your response. We discuss this after assessment, before you commit to a course.
Downtime and temporary symptoms depend on the treatment settings and your circumstances. The clinician will explain what to expect, when to return to usual activity or intimacy, and when to seek advice.
Responses vary and improvement cannot be guaranteed. If a procedure is undertaken, we agree a review point to assess symptoms rather than promising an immediate result.
Yes. Depending on the diagnosis, options can include vaginal moisturisers, lubricants, vaginal oestrogen, pelvic floor physiotherapy or other medical and specialist care. We explain the alternatives during consultation.
Only if it would help assess your symptoms, and only with your consent. We explain why it is suggested and you can ask questions first.
These symptoms warrant assessment and, where appropriate, tests or referral. A laser procedure should not replace diagnosis or treatment of infection or unexplained bleeding.
