What to expect: Brief discomfort from the blood test and injections. Temporary scalp tenderness or injection marks. Usually a course; the current clinic plan describes three sessions about a month apart.

Creates small controlled channels in the scalp. May be considered for selected patients, sometimes alongside another suitable treatment.
What to expect: A prickly sensation; comfort measures are discussed. Mild redness or sensitivity may follow for a day or two. Usually planned as a course.
