Under eyes
Fine lines and crepey texture around the lower eyelids are common reasons to consider treatment. Polynucleotides do not remove prominent eye bags or correct significant hollowness.

Polynucleotides are purified fragments of DNA used in injectable skin treatments. Small amounts are placed into the skin to support a gradual improvement in its appearance and texture.
They are often discussed for fine, crepey skin, particularly around the eyes. The focus is skin quality rather than added volume. If hollowness, prominent eye bags or loose skin are your main concern, Dr Yash will discuss whether another treatment is more suitable.
Polynucleotides are used as a biostimulation treatment. Clinical studies suggest they may improve aspects of skin texture and fine lines, especially around the eyes. The response is gradual and differs between individuals.
Good to know: This is a course of treatment, not an instant filling or lifting procedure.
01 / Areas of concern
Your skin and the chosen product determine which areas are suitable.

Explore lip concerns →Fine lines and crepey texture may be discussed where the selected product is suitable for these areas.
Explore neck & décolletage →Other areas: Hands, selected scars and scalp concerns can be discussed during consultation. Suitability and the strength of evidence differ by area and product.
02 / Your plan
Dr Yash will assess your skin, medical history and previous treatments, then explain the proposed product, number of sessions and total cost.
Two or three sessions several weeks apart are commonly proposed. Your schedule may differ according to the product, area treated and response.
Review: We assess progress before advising whether further treatment would be useful.
Any improvement develops over the following weeks. Temporary fullness just after injections is not the finished result. The degree and duration of change vary.
At consultation: We will discuss realistic goals and whether another option may suit you better.
03 / Treatment & recovery
After assessment and consent, the product is placed using a series of small injections. You will receive aftercare advice specific to the area treated.
You may feel brief stinging or pressure from the injections. We can discuss ways to make treatment more comfortable.
Small raised bumps, redness or mild swelling can appear. These usually settle, though the timing varies.
Most people can resume usual activities soon after treatment, but bruising and swelling can last several days. Leave a buffer before an important occasion, particularly for under-eye treatment.
We check allergies, active infection, pregnancy or breastfeeding and relevant medical history. Contact the clinic if symptoms are persistent, worsening or unexpected.
Helpful answers
No. The main aim is to improve skin quality gradually. Hyaluronic acid filler is usually chosen when immediate volume or contour is the goal.
It may help when thin, crepey skin contributes to the appearance of the under-eye area. Dark circles can also result from pigmentation, shadowing or anatomy, so we assess the cause first.
It may soften the look of fine, crepey skin. It cannot reliably correct excess eyelid skin or prominent fat pads.
Many polynucleotide products, including Vitaran, are derived from fish. Tell us about any fish allergy: the product must be checked, and treatment with a fish-derived product may be unsuitable.
Often yes, but small bumps, redness, swelling or bruising may be visible. Allow extra time if you are treating the under-eye area or have an upcoming event.
Polynucleotides cannot be dissolved with the enzyme used for hyaluronic acid filler. This is one reason careful assessment and product selection matter.
