Standard microneedling
Fine needles create microscopic channels without radiofrequency heat. We combine Raffine with appropriate CLINICCARE products for selected texture, fine-line and scar concerns.

Microneedling with controlled radiofrequency energy to improve selected acne scars, fine lines, uneven texture and mild skin laxity. Treatment is tailored to your skin and the area being treated.

Fine needles enter the skin and deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy at a selected depth. This creates small, controlled zones of heat beneath the surface and prompts a repair response with collagen remodelling.
Secret PRO combines an RF microneedling handpiece and a fractional CO₂ laser on one platform. This page describes the RF treatment. CO₂ resurfacing can be considered separately or within a carefully planned combination; it has different aftercare and downtime.
We adjust needle depth, energy and treatment passes to the concern, skin thickness and anatomy. Delicate areas require particular care. More energy or deeper treatment is not automatically better.
The goal is improved skin quality and modest tightening.
Both stimulate a skin-repair response. RF adds controlled thermal energy, so the treatment plan and risks differ.

Explore Raffine microneedling →Needles also deliver heat beneath the skin. This can be useful for selected scars and mild laxity as well as texture. Energy and depth must be matched carefully to the area.
The concern, skin condition, desired change and acceptable downtime guide the choice. RF is not automatically the best option for every patient, especially where skin is thin or facial volume is already reduced.
Your Raffine treatment may settle within a few hours to a day. RF adds heat and may cause redness and swelling lasting up to 24-48 hours. We explain the likely downtime before treatment.
Selected concerns are assessed before treatment; the degree of improvement varies.
May soften the texture of some depressed acne scars through collagen remodelling. Deep, tethered or ice-pick scars may need other procedures alongside it. Active inflamed acne needs assessment first.
Explore acne and scars →Can improve the appearance of rough texture and prominent pores. Pores remain a normal part of the skin; the aim is a smoother-looking surface.
May soften fine lines and improve skin quality on suitable areas. Deeper folds and loss of volume usually require another approach.
Explore fine lines →May improve firmness in selected areas of mild to moderate skin laxity, including the face, jawline and neck. The degree of tightening varies and is discussed during assessment.
RF microneedling may be considered for mild hooding caused by loose upper-eyelid skin and for under-eye crepiness. The delicate eye area needs careful assessment and an appropriate treatment plan.
Explore under-eye concerns →Some body scars, stretch marks or areas of crepey skin may be suitable. The area, healing behaviour and treatment goal determine the plan.
Collagen remodelling is gradual, so we review progress over time.
A course is often recommended rather than one visit. The number and spacing depend on the concern, intensity and response. We agree a plan after assessment and review healing before further treatment.
Early skin-quality changes may become clearer over the following weeks once redness settles. Scar and firmness changes develop over months, with remodelling potentially continuing for several months after the course.
Ageing continues and results vary. Maintenance may be discussed after the initial course rather than promised at a fixed interval.
Secret PRO offers both technologies. A combined plan may be considered for selected concerns such as acne scars, but it increases treatment intensity and changes the recovery plan.
Explore fractional CO₂ →We explain the settings, comfort plan, possible reactions and aftercare before you proceed.
We review your skin, medication, allergies, implants, recent treatments and healing history. Topical anaesthetic is usually applied before the procedure. Tell us about a pacemaker, implanted metal, pregnancy or an active rash or infection.
You may feel pressure, prickling and brief heat as the handpiece treats the area. Numbing helps, but discomfort varies. Tell the practitioner if the sensation is painful so treatment can be paused.
Redness, warmth, mild swelling and pinpoint marks may occur. Redness and swelling may last up to 24-48 hours; treatment intensity and individual skin response can affect healing. Dryness or fine crusting may follow.
Follow the written advice on gentle cleansing, moisturising, sun protection, makeup, active skincare, exercise and heat. Contact us for increasing pain, blistering, spreading redness or an unexpected reaction.

The RF handpiece uses radiofrequency energy delivered through needles, not laser light. The same platform also has a separate fractional CO₂ laser handpiece.
Raffine uses needles without RF heat. Secret PRO RF adds controlled heat beneath the skin, offering another way to remodel collagen. The choice depends on the concern, anatomy and acceptable downtime.
It may improve mild laxity and crepiness through collagen remodelling. The effect is usually modest and gradual; significant loose skin may be better assessed for other treatments or surgery.
It may improve selected loose or crepey skin around the eyes, including mild upper-eyelid hooding and under-eye crepiness. We assess the cause and extent of the concern before recommending treatment. Prominent fat bags or marked excess skin may need another approach.
RF does not target melanin in the same way as pigment-selective laser light, and many skin tones can be considered. Pigment changes are still possible. Skin history, tanning, settings and aftercare matter.
Topical numbing is usually used. You may still feel prickling, pressure or heat. We discuss comfort before treatment and adjust or pause if needed.
Redness and swelling may last up to 24-48 hours. Treatment intensity, the area and individual skin response can affect healing. Combined RF and CO₂ treatment requires a separate downtime estimate.
A series is often useful, especially for scars or more established texture changes. We personalise the number and intervals, then review the response before recommending further visits.
Some early changes may be visible over weeks after healing. Collagen-related improvement develops more gradually over months. Immediate swelling should not be mistaken for the final result.
Facial fat loss is a possible complication of RF microneedling. We will give you clear information about this risk and discuss it in detail during your consultation, taking your facial anatomy and treatment goals into account.
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness and pinpoint marks can occur. Other risks include burns, infection, pigment change, persistent marks, scarring, unwanted fat loss and nerve injury. These are discussed alongside the expected benefit and alternatives.
Pregnancy, a cardiac pacemaker, certain implants in the treatment area, active infection or inflammation, impaired healing and some medication or recent-procedure histories may prevent treatment or require delay. We assess this individually.
Tell us what was used, where and when. The timing and suitability depend on the treatment and device instructions. We plan the sequence rather than treating directly over recent procedures without assessment.
Wait until your practitioner advises that the skin is ready. Follow the specific instructions for makeup, retinoids, exfoliating acids and other active products; timings vary with intensity and healing.
This is a separate protocol from your Raffine and CLINICCARE treatment. We follow the RF device instructions and use only appropriate products and aftercare. Additional topical or injected products are not automatically part of the RF procedure.
