Understanding your face

Volume loss and loose skin are different concerns

Temples or cheeks may look less full, folds can become more noticeable, and the jawline may lose definition. Significant weight loss can make these changes more apparent. We assess your facial structure and skin before recommending a plan.

01 / Restore fullness

Where has your face lost support?

These options work in different ways. Some provide more immediate support, while others aim for gradual change.

Selected areas of lost volume

Dermal fillers

Can restore fullness or support in carefully chosen areas when facial shape or deeper folds are the main concern.

What to expect: Brief injection sensation. Swelling, tenderness or bruising may be visible for several days. Treatment and review are personalised.

Gradual support

Sculptra

Encourages collagen production over time. May be considered for hollow temples or loss of fullness at the sides of the face, in front of the ears.

What to expect: Temporary swelling, tenderness or bruising. Usually planned as a course; results develop over weeks and months.

Contour and support

Radiesse

Can provide structural support and stimulate collagen over time. May be considered for jawline definition or, in selected patients, support in the inner cheek area.

What to expect: Possible swelling, tenderness or bruising. We explain when to expect the initial result and whether a review is needed.

02 / After weight loss

Has your face changed after losing weight?

Reduced fullness can make cheeks look flatter and loose skin more noticeable. We assess both before recommending treatment.

Facial fullness after weight loss

Profhilo Structura

May be considered when facial volume loss is the main concern. It is designed to address changes in facial fat compartments and is different from standard Profhilo.

What to expect: Brief injections. Temporary swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur. Planned as a course, with a schedule set at consultation.

03 / Improve firmness

Is loose skin your main concern?

If the skin itself feels less firm, adding volume may not be the most useful starting point.

Early laxity

Radiofrequency

Delivers controlled energy to the skin and may gradually improve the appearance of mild laxity.

What to expect: A warming sensation and possible temporary redness. Visible recovery is often limited; a course is commonly advised.

Firmness and texture

Secret PRO

Offers radiofrequency microneedling and fractional CO₂ laser options when laxity comes with lines, pores or uneven texture.

What to expect: Numbing cream is discussed. Redness, swelling or peeling may follow; recovery depends on the selected protocol.

Selected lower-face laxity

Endolift

Uses a fine laser fibre beneath the skin. May be considered for selected concerns around the lower face or jawline after medical assessment.

What to expect: Local anaesthetic is used. Swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur. Recovery and risks are explained before booking.

Non-surgical treatments may improve selected concerns but cannot remove significant excess skin or reproduce the results of surgery. We will explain what is realistic for you.

Helpful answers

Frequently asked questions

Will treatment hurt?

Injectables involve brief needle or cannula discomfort. Radiofrequency feels warm. Secret PRO may require numbing cream; Endolift uses local anaesthetic.

Will I need time off work?

Injections may leave swelling or bruising. Radiofrequency usually has limited visible recovery. Secret PRO and Endolift may have more noticeable downtime.

How many sessions will I need?

Some treatments are planned as a course; others need a review or maintenance appointment. We will explain your proposed plan at consultation.

Will these treatments give me a facelift result?

No. Non-surgical options can improve selected concerns, but they cannot remove significant excess skin or reproduce surgery.

Are injectable treatments risk-free?

No cosmetic procedure is risk-free. We discuss common side effects, rare serious complications and aftercare before treatment.

Not sure if it is volume loss or loose skin?

You do not need to decide that yourself. Tell us what has changed and what result you would like. We will assess your facial structure and skin, then explain your options clearly.
